  He was an outstanding student in the Chemistry Department of Fudan University and a leader science teacher in Honor school with high facial attractiveness and intelligence.As a teenager,he often won the first prize in the Chinese Chemistry Competitions.He was selected into the Shanghai training team with only 10 students and won the first prize in Shanghai Olympic Competition of Chemistry for high school students in China.He was awarded a full scholarship of successive postgraduate and doctoral programs of study when studying at the University of Florida.He is known for his strictness at Honor school.
