After graduation, Jessica returned to China through the MAIS program. She graduated with her M.A. in 2009, having completed her thesis on orphan care in China. She continues to stay involved in orphan work in Zhejiang Province - having collected donations for over 30 orphan surgeries since moving to Hangzhou in 2008. She gained experience teaching at Hangzhou Dianzi University and was named top English teacher of the 2009-2010 school year by the students and faculty.
